After finally shaking off the soviet shackles, young Muscovites are looking to party. Thanks to the obscene amounts of cash now lining the pockets of the uber rich and the achingly beautiful wanting to show their assets off, clubs have been opening their doors all over the streets. A certain amount of after-dark snobbery still applies – for example ‘face value’ where the bouncers decide if you’re attractive enough to grace their place, so if you want to quaff cocktails with the Russian elite then make sure you look the part. Tverskaya is considered the place to clash your high heels with supermodels and their sugar daddies, but it’s a fickle club scene and places come and go faster than the spring-time slush.
